LearnExperts – Director, Delivery & Business Development

The Director, Delivery & Business Development is responsible for business development, delivery and operations.  He/she will provide sales & business development support as it relates to LearnExperts Customer and Partners.  The Director will oversee and manage all operational aspects for LearnExperts services including resource management, contracting, and billing compliance.

The successful candidate will be accountable for the successful sale & execution of LearnExperts learning solutions, including learning subscription, custom learning services and other LearnExperts Products.  This includes ensuring client success through detailed scoping, needs assessment, development of innovative and continuous learning programs customized for the named client and ensuring the highest quality development and implementation. 

Along with the LearnExperts Executive team, the Director will have financial responsibility and accountability for the Learning Services Business. In addition to hitting revenue and utilization targets, the Director is expected to accurately forecast sales and delivery activity. He / she will manage the processes for closing each month accurately by the deadline.  The Director will manage the learning developers, responsible for complex and custom delivery solutions. 


This role is a pivotal member of the LearnExperts team, reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer.


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Client facing role, in person or remote scoping and development of customer proposals, RFx responses under tight deadlines

  • Frequent sales and informational presentations to customers and other key stakeholders about LearnExperts value proposition and programs.

  • Serve as the authority on LearnExperts Learning Services Programs and Products and Learning Services in general

  • Management of all contracting, billing, & invoicing, pipeline and reporting management

  • Delivery team management, motivation and leadership.


Required Experience/Skills:

10+ years Sales & Delivery management experience in the education technology and services area.

10+ years’ experience in tech ed industry - education services and products; with software services sales (Education / Consulting specialization &/or SaaS preferred)

10+ years’ experience in training needs assessment and complex scoping / solution experience with proven ability to create, innovate and deliver upon custom requirements and enterprise needs

5+ years’ experience with sales operations including forecasting, contracting, and financial management

Ongoing understanding of the training marketplace and current trends, best practices with active membership and participation in industry organizations. 

Ability to manage influence through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus building

Ideally combined background of post-sale and sales experience

Deep understanding of value drivers in recurring revenue business models

Analytical and process-oriented mindset

Demonstrated desire for continuous learning and improvement

Strong organizational skills and excellent at follow up and attention to detail.

Exceptional decision making and problem-solving skills

Team player with excellent facilitation, presentation, influencing and communication skills

Travel required

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field

Preference will be given to bilingual candidates (French/English)
